Appointments & Billing

We are a bulk-billing practice for Medicare-eligible patients for standard GP services. This means there is usually no out-of-pocket cost for routine in-person consultations.

Some types of care are not covered by Medicare or may fall outside bulk-billing arrangements. These services are privately billed and may include:

           -  WorkCover, CTP and other insurance-related consultations, certificates, medicals and reports
           -  Centrelink and third-party forms
           -  Employment, pre-placement and driver assessments
           -  Selected procedures and items not eligible for a Medicare rebate

Payment for private services is required on the day by EFTPOS/credit card (no AMEX) or cash. Where a Medicare rebate applies to a privately billed service, we can submit your claim for you.

A missed appointment fee of $40 may apply if you do not attend and have not provided at least 24 hours’ notice. This fee is not Medicare-rebatable.

For new, complex or multiple concerns, please book a Standard or Long in-person appointment. Short follow-ups and straightforward matters may be suitable for a phone consultation.

Saturday & After-Hours

We aim to keep care accessible and will bulk bill Medicare-eligible GP consultations on Saturdays where appropriate.

Please note that private fees may still apply for:

            -  Non-Medicare services
            -  Insurance-related appointments (WorkCover/CTP)
            -  Third-party reports and assessments
            -  Specific procedures not covered by Medicare

Practice Communication

Calling the clinicPhone consultations are available for patients who need to speak with their doctor remotely. Test results and health concerns must be reviewed during a booked appointment.

Our reception team can take messages and pass them to the clinical staff. Interruptions during consultations are reserved for matters that are considered urgent.

Email and online access
Email is not a secure method for clinical care and is generally avoided to protect your privacy. It may be used only when no other reasonable option is available.

Patients can book appointments through our online booking system. We continue to improve our digital services and aim to expand options such as electronic prescriptions, recalls/reminders and convenient payment pathways where relevant.

We are committed to delivering consistent, safe and patient-centred care. For accuracy and confidentiality, results and treatment decisions must be discussed with your doctor during a scheduled consultation.

While our team can help direct queries to the clinical staff, medical advice and result interpretation require an appointment.

Walk-In Visits

We operate mainly as an appointment-based practice and recommend booking ahead to avoid waiting. However, walk-ins are welcome.

If there is an open appointment slot when you arrive, we will do our best to see you. If not, we’ll offer the next available time.

Results

Appointments are required for result discussions.

Where possible, please book your follow-up appointment at the same time as you arrange your tests.

Results can only be provided to the patient or their legal guardian unless we have prior written consent to share them with another person.

Recalls & Reminders

We can send SMS reminders for recalls and upcoming appointments.

This is an opt-in service—please let reception know if you would like to be included.

Interpreter Support

We welcome patients from all cultural and language backgrounds.

If you would like an interpreter for your appointment, we can organise a confidential telephone interpreter at no cost.

Please let us know when booking.If you’d prefer an independent interpreter rather than a family member or friend, we are happy to arrange this to protect your privacy.
